| “Refer to me as a goddess. I’m tired of being modest.”
Good morning. I’m back on my shit. How you doing?
After five days of being broken down, of purging emotional weight, of rest and restlessness, of setting myself aside to listen and listen and listen some more, I have risen. And perfect time too, ’cause there are only 8 days before the release of New Black and the secret pop-up shop.
This is where I release my power. This is where I remember.
I am the daughter of the Most High. My words create worlds. My love and my light open doors. Every room I enter is enhanced because I am in it. I am victory. I cannot fail nor have I ever.

Word Goddess
P.S. Today’s opening quote comes from Beyonce’s “My Power.” Lover and I watched Black is King tonight. (Bootleg of course, who the fuck has Disney Plus?) He annoyed me a bit talking through every scene, giving the bio of each African artist and historical context. Like yeah, yeah, yeah nigga, you know a lot. But I just wanna feel. Still, it was cool to have someone translate the Yoruba and point out the different tribal origins of the fashion and style. I had to hush him up for Dark Skin Girl (I fucking LOVE Naomi Campbell) and My Power. To see me, Amber, and Candace killing that shit back in December, Click here
P.P.S. Okay, time for our daily task! Affirmation time. I know you probably already have one or some. But in this very moment, what exactly does your soul need to hear from you? Speak it out and write it down.
P.P.P.S. Click here to pre-order New Black before they sell out!
