I chop demons’ heads off. I don’t play. I know who I am. I know who I serve. I know what I’m doing for the Kingdom of God. Being my full self. Which liberates other souls. So I know when a 7-minute conversation and the subsequent hurt loop in my head for 3 days straight, dwarfing the incredible love I am surrounded by and the daily gains I take towards my goal, it’s more than an artistic hurt. It is a fight. And bitch, I ain’t no punk. 

The bitch in this case being the enemy of course. And the fight being within the spiritual world. God woke me up early to get up in that ass. I laid in bed taking stock. Of my feelings, of my energy. Bits and pieces of the opening verse played in my head. See, that’s why we gotta spend time in the Word. We need it to bubble forth in the midst of the shit.

Too early to shout and bump gospel, I used silence instead. I taped roses to the wall. I stood on the balcony and breathed in fresh air. I stared through my eyes in the mirror, stirred up my soul. I stretched and meditated. I opened the door and windows and I saged. Then I opened the Word and nigga, I got hype. I took my sword out and chopped off heads.

And now let me stir up some spirits. There’s prayer warriors on this list. We plead the blood of Jesus over everyone reading these words. We loosen peace and JOY. Loud, crazy, inconvenient, funny, laughing, dancing, stomping, talking loud for no motherfucking reason joy. Yeah.

Bitch, you gotta come harder than that.
